Coinbase Card

The Coinbase debit card is a Visa card that lets you earn up to 4% back in rewards on every purchase you make. This card functions similarly to a regular debit card, but it allows you to make purchases with bitcoin rather than cash.

What is Coinbase Card?

It's essentially a Visa debit card that you can use anywhere that accepts Visa cards and is linked to your Coinbase crypto account balance. You don't have to worry about liquidating your digital assets every time you go to a store because Coinbase takes care of it.

You'll be able to select your preferred incentives when you sign up for a Coinbase debit card and have the option of getting 1% back in Bitcoin or 4% back in Stellar Lumens. You can, however, swap between the two incentive structures whenever one appeals to you more than the other. Coinbase can credit your rewards to your account after each transaction once you've set up your preferred reward offer.

How do I set up my Coinbase Card?

You'll need to authenticate your phone number and connect the app to your Coinbase account before you can order a Coinbase Card once you've loaded the app.

It should arrive in 5-7 business days after you place your order. Simply open the Coinbase Card app and click 'Enable physical card!' at the top when it arrives.

Simply click the highlighted symbol in the Coinbase Card app and select your favorite cryptocurrency wallet to change the cryptocurrency converted on-demand when making a transaction with the Coinbase Card.

When you make the purchase, you'll get a push notice on your phone, and the Coinbase Card app will provide you a summary of the transaction.

What are the fees of Coinbase Card?

The Coinbase card stands out when it comes to fees. You're likely to get the most out of it without building up yearly fees, thanks to the lack of a card issuance cost and the lack of an annual fee. However, depending on how you use the card, you may be charged fees.

Every purchase, including ATM withdrawals, will incur a 2.49 percent transaction fee from Coinbase. For instance, if you purchase $200 on Bitcoin using your Coinbase card, you'll be charged a 2.49 percent fee of $4.98.
